Help Your Customers Find You Online

It can be quite daunting and confusing for business owners with little to no understanding of digital marketing to figure out how to get their website and social media platforms to really work for them. You wouldn't buy a car without the steering wheel, or accept to be served your meal at a restaurant without a menu - then why have a business without a website?

Every day, over 1.000.000 searches are made for something on Google in the Almería region. No matter what your business is, you want a website and you want your website to show up on those searches! A healthy online presence should be an essential part of your marketing plan.

Word of Mouth Is So Good That Everybody Remembers Your Phone Number, Right?

Let's imagine that someone is looking for a business — and you just so happen to own one. Friends have shared how good your business is. Does this person need to guess where you're based? Or does he need to guess your phone number?

Just like you, Google wants to help that user find you, even if you're a tiny one-man or woman show. You might think your website is a needle in a haystack, but if you spend time writing fresh content and promoting your business online, you can help search engines understand what your business is about and prove that your site is a quality one. In time, Google will start displaying your site higher and higher — and this has enormous power!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are based in Mojácar, Almería. We see many businesses florish during the summer months but also struggle during less busy seasons. Only a few have established the flow of both tourists as well as locals. We constantly witness it's difficult to find certain businesses because there simply isn't anything online about them.

  • You've got to let your customers find you. There are some forums on Facebook being used for advertising. It's just astonishing the time and effort businesses put in these forums. Many of these forums are hidden and are invitation only. Just imagine! There are over 800.000 visitors to the Mojácar region every year and you expect them to not only find these hidden forums but also be assertive enough to ask the right questions while being completely dependent on people liking your business when they answer. It doesn't sound like a sustainable marketing solution.

  • Well, first of all, well done. But a Google business account is not a website. It's a way of displaying your business on Google Maps. The biggest disadvantage is the limited customization options. Google My Business is limited in terms of customizing your profile page and business presence on the platform. You can't advertise or customize anything. You can't 'market' your business the way you'd want to. You can't make it look the way you want to. In other words: you can't stand out and attract new customers that way. Again, would you go to a restaurant without a menu? Would you allow a garage to fix your car without knowing what it will cost you?

  • A maintenance contract is not required, but very much advised. Short of visiting your domain, there's nothing else you can do unless you know what you're doing. Our professional support staff will make sure that everything will keep running without a hitch so you can continue to attract new customers.

  • Some people tell us they really need a website but they don't want a domain. It's because they don't know what a domain is. In simple terms it's the name of your website : www.example.com and without it you can't show the website. It's like buying a car without an engine. And there's nothing to worry about, a domain is very cheap and only around € 15.00 a year. Give or take a few euros.

  • Yes! Normal websites start from € 250,00 and normal online storefronts start from € 450,00 and that's it. You own the websites. If you don't want a maintenance contract, we'll give you all access and all login details.

  • That's no problem. We'll have a chat about it to determine the workload and either give you a monthly update quote or an hourly rate. Whichever is most suiting your needs.

  • We can make the pictures in the right settings for you. Depending on the quantity we have several ways to get it sorted for you. Once the pictures have been used for your site you will own the pictures and can use them in any other way you'd want to.

  • This depends on a whole host of factors from whether it is a bespoke web design or from a template, whether you need any specific custom functionality, where your content is coming from and how much there is, to name a few.

At the start of a web design project, we will work to determine responsibilities and a timeline so it is completely clear what is expected. We will keep in regular contact to keep you updated and give you early notice of any issues which could affect the timeline. On average though, a website for a small business would take around a three to six weeks to build, thoroughly test and put live.

  • A responsive website is a website that adapts to the device it is being viewed on. For example, if you view a site on a laptop and then view the site on a mobile, you should have equally good experiences of that website but not the same experience. On the mobile, the website may have a slightly different design and content may have moved to make it easier to navigate and view utilizing the controls available on a mobile device.

A mobile-friendly website will give you the same user experience when you view it on a mobile device as well as a large screen. In contrast to the responsive website, there will not be a specific design for mobile usage, but the whole site will be designed and built in such a way that all features are available and equally usable on all size device.

  • SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. It is a way of structuring your site and its content to ensure that you have the best chance of your website being returned in a good position when someone does a Google search for terms relevant to your business.

SEO over the years has grown and changed and become an industry in its own right. There are many companies whose sole purpose are to boost your placement on Google through various techniques and campaigns.

  • SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer and is a security protocol to enable you to access a website securely. When you access a site which has SSL you will notice that the web address begins https:// rather than http:// (note the additional “s”). This means your interaction with that website is encrypted and information you enter can't be stolen by hackers.

Google sees websites which use https:// as safe and the use of https may boost the ranking or your website over a non-secure website. As of January 2017, Google has started differentiating between those websites that are secure and those that aren't secure in their Chrome browser. You may see either the word 'secure' or an 'I' at the start of the web address. Users will have more confidence in clicking on your site if it is secure.

  • UX is short for user experience. When designing a website, it is very important to consider the user's experience on the website. That's why it's very important you explain your business and what you need as best as possible. An enjoyable user experience will ensure that user potentially returns, buys or recommends the website.

If the website is not relevant, for example if you're a restaurant and you think it might be a nice plan to include activities in the area the user will have a bad user experience which means it's highly unlikely that the user will progress further on your website and leave very quickly.

Just 'having a website' isn't enough. If your website isn't relevant you will lose more customers than you'd want to attract.

  • Web hosting is the provision of space on a web server to store your website. The web server will also provide connectivity to the server so your website can be accessed by people using the public internet. Without hosting there is no website. You usually 'rent' this space for a monthly fee and it's separate from building the website. We offer webhosting for websites from as little as € 5,00 a month.

  • A domain name is the easy to read name of your website. For us it's www.evastic.com. When choosing a domain name it's important to make it relatable to your business. Keeping short and pronounceable makes it easy to remember accurately. You should also use an appropriate domain name extension i.e. .com, .es, co.uk, .net., etc

The number of extensions available has dramatically increased over the years, however, .com still remains the most widely used.

  • Yes, we can setup your online payments for you and link it to a physical card reader you can use to link physical payments to the same account. Don't hesitate to ask for more information.

  • Simply stated? No. If you want to show online how many items you have available you will need to have an accurate inventory status. Many feel it's a lot of work. The benefit is, once you've done it, it should all be accurate after you start using your online data. We can do the inventory for you for reduced rates.
